Windshield rear view mirror replacement

So I’m trying to replace my rearview mirror with a homelink mirror. I can’t seem to get the original one off the windshield. I watched at least 10 videos and they all say you pry the clip open and pull up. Mine is a 2001 super duty and I notice none of the mirror bezels look like mine. I’m saying that because my bezel seems to be keeping it from moving. I don’t want to get overzealous and crack the windshield so I’m just looking for the advice before I get rough with it. Pictures are front, bottom, and top view.

Maybe use a tiny flathead screwdriver to hold the tab open. Although it looks free in the pic. Then tap the body straight up with something light but hard. Handle of a bigger screwdriver for example.

The bright part should stay adhered to the windshield. If it pops off they make adhesive to replace it, but in my experience that repair never lasts.
