Hello. I have a 2008 Ford F-150 4.6. I need to know what the name of the part that my heater Core hoses attach to in the engine bay. It sits directly behind and slightly offset to the left of the alternator. It has a hole in the metal below where the two heater Core hoses attach to it. Any info would be great, thanks.
That is indeed the part. I was able to identify it after taking it to the local shop and showing the guy. But yes, a coolant crossover pipe was in fact what I was looking for. Do you know where to aquire one other than finding one on an junk truck?
I can't say I have seen any new.
If it is made new, I would suspect it would come from Dorman.
Otherwise, I saw a ton of them (I'm sure used) listed on eBay.
