Have not used the keyless remote for 1 year -access is with key. Has been Solid red on the alarm eye. Today I flipped the valet switch alarm goes off 2 full cycles- close door, wait for chirp and set get a chirp- blinking red- remote does not operate door, etc- yes, fresh batteries - 2 remotes- neither. Open door same thing ql over again. Cannot get her to stop the blinking- can't disengae with valet- still blinking red. So, the rig does not start. What is that sequence for resetting. Forget about shorting the two terminals. I need to get her running to go to work . Uggh
I located a grey apadter with two pins and a grey adapter with a set of 3 and 2 pins. I did the wire short to the pins and got nada. this grey pin adapter was located inder the dash under the ashtray . I s this the correct connecter. I also read that it is located at the base of the sterring column?? I open th doors alarm goes off- and truck will obviuosly not start.
The only grey adapters I have are located towards the center of hump under the ashtray, I cannot find the grey 2 pin connecter under the gas pedal or under the steering colum nor can I find the pigtail on the sterring wheel. Am I not looking in the correct place. Daily driver will not start because I cannot disengage the alarm .
yes, try to disconect the battery in the engine compartment, the large terminals .. disconect the ground cable, and let it sit for 15-20 mintues. this may clear the memory on the computer for the alarm, and allow it to start to function.
goodness thats what i said way earlier, Dutch get yourself a manual and learn this stuff. you have been on this forum long enough you should know what we are talken about , hehehe
Yah. I brain farted, got mad and threw the kitchen sink at her!!!
Of course I disconnected the and then the reset. So, alarm works as always now its those pesky fobs to reprogram. I'll use the 2003 manual entitled "How to Reprogram Your and Your" by Kemicalburns; HA!
