U-joint

I have a 2wd 72 ford f100.... Im trying to take out the u-joint and it wont budge... I took out the u bolts, but my buddy tells me there is a lil pin i have to take out with some needle nose plyers.... i looked all over and i cant find the pin... can anyone tell me whats up? Do i need to have the truck in neutral or anything?

Did you pry between the yoke and joint?? Use a bar and pry the joint towards the transmission. That should do the trick.

Make sure you have NO tension on the drive shaft before prying on it . Those driveshafts can hurt you bad when under a load. John

Block the wheels and put it in nuetral. Get in behind the u-joint with a very large screwdriver or a prybar and pop it out.
