Mirrors Stick
Have a 2022 Lariat HD. Do the mirrors on these things need periodic lubrication? Mine tend to stick occasionally, generally not closing, but occasionally not opening . At first I thought it was cold temps but it does it in warm weather too. Both sides will do it randomly, no set patterns.

Mine started sticking too after I moved to the beach. IDK, maybe I'll try flushing it with a water jet, then spray in some white lithium or WD40?
OK, I did some research. The motor and gears that do the work are well buried inside the housing. Be prepared to spend four hours, more or less, to access them and lube them with a dry lube.

Replacement motor and gear can be found for under $100.

ive been thinking of doing that but there’s so much electronics inside I’m afraid of hosing down connections.
