So I have my truck panels and bed off my truck prepped for paint. I just about have everything done under the bed I wanted to do. Do I rebuild the front suspension before or after it goes to the paint shop? I plan on installing 3" drop beams, shocks, replace bushings and tighten things up. I really want to see how it sits when it's all back together before I do the drop beams. What is the intelligent way to proceed if it were you? Have it painted, then do the work or do it while it's apart?
+1. Use the time you have when there’s nothing else to do and everything is easily accessible. You’ll never get another shot to have that much access without a ton of work. The suspension will look funny without the weight on the frame, but you’re just going to have to get over that.
Do ALL you can r need to do to it mechanically/chassis/under hood/interior ect. That way you do not have to be as careful. Paint is 100% last. That way the body panels gaps are left alone. Unless if it a blow apart paint job? And they are chasing gaps putting it back together.

I am having it professionally painted at a great shop. I will bring it to them as a whole truck, just in pieces to be painted and assembled. I will let the professionals do the skilled work, especially getting everything to line up. I'm just grunt labor and doing what I can myself and subbing anything out that I can't do or don't have the time. I will proceed as recommended and thank you for the advice.

Thank you and that seems to be the right way to go!
