So every little bump I hit the damn door dinger goes off and is driving me crazy. Anyone know how to adjust the doors or a simple way to stop the dinger? I'm going crazy here!! 2013 f250 6.2 4x4 supercab
Could be that the actuator/latch is a little sticky, I suggest spraying a little WD-40 in it and work it in by open and closing the door a few times to loosen things up, and see what that does for you.
I've already tried that and didn't do any good. This morning I pulled on the back cab drivers side and it felt like the top was secure but the bottom latch was loose a bit like it wasn't latched. I'll try wd40 again and see if it helps. Thank you
Easy way to tell if your door is sagging: Open door, have someone watch the hinges for motion while you grab the bottom of the door and lift/drop over and over. Certainly won't make it worse. If it's bad enough you might be able to feel the hinge pin 'clunking.'
Sagging hinges absolutely will cause issues with 'door closed' switches.
If the catch or the latch itself is worn, it can feel like it's loose even if it's actually latched. There is some adjustment usually to make them tighten up but only to a point, then they have to be replaced. Parts are usually cheap but you'll have to pull the door apart, and if you aren't careful you'll break the plastic clips off.
