I purchased a 2022 F250 XL from a salvage lot. It had been rear ended but everything from the cab forward is fine and I wanted a flatbed on it anyway. Got the frame straightened and a new rear axle installed and its ready for the flatbed. I am having a few electrical problems that I could use some help with.
1. The radio functions fine but will only respond to the steering wheel controls. All of the dash functions are inoperable.
2. The climate control panel is inoperable. The buttons are backlight and I've checked all appropriate fuses.
3. The driver side window control switches don't work for either the driver or passenger windows. The passenger window works fine from the passenger side.
Any help you guys can give me would be appreciated.
First thing is figure these problems out before adding a new bed and additional electrical items, lights, sensors, etc. As always the batteries are crucial for proper function of anything in these trucks don’t just assume their good or new enough, double check the connections are tight, clean and securely attached. Some of this is probably related to the accident so check all wiring and connectors closely for damage.
Make sure all the wiring is complete for the flat bed before troubleshooting. I’ve swapped on a flat end and had unusual issues until everything was hooked back up.
