Peragon truck bed covers

https://www.peragon.com/shop/folding

Most of you who've been around for a bit know about or have heard of Peragon truck bed covers. Heath Copp, the President of the company has been a strong supporting sponsor here on FTE for well over a decade. Heath has very generously offered FTE community discounts for forum members and he very proudly acknowledges the selfless sacrifice of our military and first responders by offering a special discount to those folks as well.

As Peragon has matured to it's 26th year of building high quality truck bed covers, Heath and his amazing engineering team have developed a new to Peragon folding cover known as TECTONIC. This isn't just any off the shelf cover. Tectonic carries a lifetime warranty, I'm sure there is fine print. Heath did his R&D work and put about 10 of these covers in the local areas surrounding his facility in Wisconsin. After a lengthy process of tweaks and adjustments, they built just one unit for the wild. This amazing unit found it's way to my stepson's 2017 F-150 XLT.

Over the weekend I had an opportunity to get into it, on it, fold it, lock it, take a couple pics and then reach back to Heath with my thoughts and impressions. My stepson and I are not engineers which is why we are the best beta testers on the planet. Like most of you, we work hard (well, I'm retired and loving it), we use our trucks as trucks and quite frankly, we're not educated enough to over think something that should be simple and rugged and yet, complete the appearance of the truck.

The only thing that I could tell Heath was that he didn't have a 270 degree view of his brand AND, the hinge screws needed to be different. Great minds do collide from time to time and the screws are being changed to something that can be operated with your fingers. As for the 270 view, he'll take that into consideration.

The hinges don't bind up when the cover is open, there is a plethora of bumpers for when the cover is folded open. The water seals are lifetime, the cover locks and they were thoughtful enough to include tie down straps so the panels don't vibrate when driving with the cover open. The cover is loaded with tie down hooks so you can throw nearly anything on top and travel. you can open just the front panel OR just the rear panel OR both and slide the whole cover forward against the bulkhead of the truck. No lost bed space.

My sole complaint is that Heath has yet to build one for the 2014 and older trucks. So for you guys with the 2015 to current truck with the short bed or the 6.5' bed, you're in luck.

Check out the Peragon site, scroll down to TECTONIC and play around with it. They've done a great job of answering any questions up front. Give them a call, reach out to their incredible customer service folks as they are truly the best in their business. They will WOW you with their knowledge.

Thanks for the very kind intro post, Tim! I'm honored to know you're impressed with what our team has created! We spent two years in R&D on the Peragon Tectonic cover and I believe the results show it. I've spent nearly 30 years in the truck bed cover business and have driven a pickup truck every day of that time and this new design reflects everything I want in a cover on my truck. Robust security, keeps my cargo dry no matter how much it pours, lets me load the bed to the gills and still access every corner within seconds. Did I mention you can haul 400 pounds on top?

We're now taking orders for the 2015+ F-150 5.5' and 6.5' beds. The 2017+ Super Duty short bed will follow this spring.

As an exclusive introductory offer for FTE members through March 31, use promo code FTETCTNCINTRO to receive a $200 discount on Tectonic AND get a free set of our $59 stainless steel ratchet straps when you add those to your order.

I'll attach some images that tell the story and I'm happy to answer any questions from the FTE community!
