Engine fuel filter cap
I bought my 2007 Ford F350 6.0 King Ranch and it had been what I call dolled up. It had an issue with the fuel pump relay and it is now resolved. I installed a gauge kit to monitor fuel pressure and HPOP. I found a possible other issue . I could not get the pressure to build on the fuel. So I installed my pressure test kit and showed 65 psi. Put the after market cap back on and even removed the fitting in the center of the cap and no fuel pressure build. I left the test cap on and have ordered a ford fuel cap.
question #1. Is there a bypass in the bottom of the fuel bowl ?. And #2, has anyone ever seen this ?

Thank You for the info. That confirms my evaluation. I have a stock cap coming to replace it.
