7.3 will run on anything. Small differences in power or MPGs, nbd.

With a higher bio percentage I might even skip the Power Service.

Run a little 2 stroke in the tank about every 5 fillups because of the low sulfer content of diesel, 2 stroke lubes the injectors a little better.

I was putting about 10oz wal-mart 2 stroke TC-w3 oil in every fill up for years which was recommended by a diesel mechanic I knew.

Fast Forward to April 2024 and Then my former "know it all mechanic" told me not to. He also told me to avoid bio-diesel and just use Diesel # 2.

So I have followed his advice for the past 18 months.

So, you're listening to a mechanic that is a criminal? I don't know you but I'd say that you're judgement is lacking. No offense.

I added the word criminal in a previous post, because he took a lot of money from me changing out numerous parts.

then he refused to look at my truck when I had an issue.

So as far as I know he doesn't really have a criminal record.

mea culpa

Any advice you get, even from a known criminal, must pass thru your own brain.

You choose.

2-stroke or atf won’t hurt anything but an actual lubricity additive like opti-lube XL or Stanadyne Lubricity is better and more cost effective. XPD is a great one but if you don’t need the anti-gel it’s kind of a waste of money and the “Summer” gives you the lubricity and cetane booster for much less.
