Trans recommendations.
Hey there fellas, curious for some opinions!
Wanting to put some 205/30s maybe over 80s, and a “stage 3” KC 66 mil turbo. Expecting about 150-200 hp gained. Looking for a built trans that will handle it, that also don’t drain my pockets too bad. Looked into rebuilding but don’t have the time. Curious what y’all think and have experienced! Thanks

contact KC turbo and go over what your intent and goals are for the truck before you order a turbo.
call Rosewood Diesel and talk to Jim before you buy injectors.
You’ll be happy you did.
You’ll probably be surprised what you learn talking to them as well. Everyone likes to think big injectors, big turbo, big power but there’s way more too it than that.
talking with KC and letting them know my build plan and what I want to use the truck for we arrived at a stage 1 with .84 housing, and it’s worked excellent for pulling my 5th wheel with the injectors I’ve got 160/0s at that time… truck has 160/80s in it now but I haven’t started the truck yet.

As I recall there are three real good E4 shops for these trucks. BTS is one as noted. Probably a basic search here will reveal more.
One member named Glenn has a built one with a good solid engine setup (T4, big inj, etc) if his screen name pops in my head, I will tag him for you.
