Found this stumbling around on YouTube. It's a factory (International) male lug cap so that you can use same wires w/o swapping boots. The good part of video starts at 03:40.

Those old Internationals and most Jeeps of the era used Ford ignition systems
Duraspark I, II and III
The old mid 70's Duraspark I setup used the smaller cap
By 77 they were all the bigger cap Duraspark IIRR
They put that bigger cap on there so the cross arcing in the cap would be solved
Some of the old Lincolns with the crossfire cap was an intermediate step
EEC I, EEC II and EEC III
Fun stuff
There are some things you can play with
Like the bigger grey cap, you put a older blue (non emissions rotor) in a grey cap and hear the roar
It'll sound like a P109 taking off
The rotor gap and the spark plug gap are supposed to be the same
When you put a blue rotor in a grey cap, it changes that gap and makes it sound like a hotrod
That's great feedback! I hadn't planned on switching, as mine is a late model cluttered top end anyway in my 65 truck., but thought the video may be useful to someone. Replies like yours is what makes forums worth reading!!
