Any V10 issues with tire size change

Yes, there is an issue with towing. Have the computer reset to the correct revs per mile for your tire and you will be fine. When I switched to 285's from 235's I noticed that the towing power had decreased and the truck down shifted a lot. When I took it to the dealer the mechanic explained that revs per mile is one of 142 points read by the computer and that by changing the tire size without setting the computer I was basically confusing the computer. He reset the revs per mile and it was like driving a different truck when towing. I tow a 8k camper.

offroadjunkiex,
That is one sharp Ex. I'm not sure if my pulling experience is different possibly because I pull a camper and you pull a boat? I've never pulled a boat. I know the aerodynamics of my camper is like a 32 foot long X 11 foot tall X 7 foot wide brick. The truck pulls great for what it has to tow. Just part of camping I guess. My father in law says I run too fast at 70 mph with the camper, but my Dad has hauled horses since before I was born and seems to run these speeds on the highway too. Is long as I feel I'm safe and not tearing anything up, I just go right on. It'll be interesting to hear the results on your tuner.

I have 38x15 offroad radials on my '01 F350 SD with v10. The speedo calibration can only be adjusted to a certain maximum limit and even at that limit my speedo is off (low by 7 mph at a true 70 mph). I have 4.30 gearing and with these 38s the final relative ratio is about 3.71. I have a 1 mpg drop in fuel mileage with these large tires, also wind resistance it much greater. (I've only installed a front leveling kit so it is not much taller than a stock 1 ton)
Pulling my fullsize Bronco on my equipment trailer means that I'm hauling about 8600 pounds. I can pull all day at 60 mph, but going 70 is pretty tough keeping that speed and it drinks fuel very badly. With OD off at 70 mph I run at 2900 rpm.
But changing a couple tire sizes larger should show little of these traits, as long as you are running lower gearing.
BTW, towing with OD engaged is inviting a replacement rebuild before it should be normally needed. Saving a few bucks in fuel and then needing to repair the tranny for big bucks is being penny wise and dollar foolish. I learned from experience and hope to save you the same experiences.
