2000 Ford excursion has hit and miss heat. I have put a new thermostat on by passed the pressure valve on heater core lines blow out the heater core and blend door is working properly. Need help figuring this out.
I would suggest opening up the access panel under the dash and after your truck has warmed up take a laser temperature sensor and check the temperature at various spots on the heater core. Mine was recently abysmal and I found the heater core was partially plugged. Flushing did not help it. Only half of the heater core was actually getting hot. I also found that the foam around the core was not sealing well so air was going around it instead of through it.

I will give that a try and see if that helps. When I open my heater core lines the water is luke warm even with the excursion being at running temp
How are you measuring the water temp? If it is indeed luke warm you need to get that fixed first.
I pulled the heater core lines while running and the coolant that came out wasn't steaming and it got on my hands and it wasn't hot at all barley warm what do I need to fix this is my first Ford excursion.
I would take the thermostat out and heat it up in a pan of water to verify it is opening at the expected temperature. You said you replaced it but that doesn't mean it's good. Does the upper coolant hose ever get hot to the touch if it idles for 15-20 minites?

Yes the upper coolant hose gets hot about 17 minutes of idling
If the engine is getting up to temp and no heat, verify the hot water valve is opening and feel the lines going to the heater core. If one line is hot and the other is warm or cool, replace the heater core. It is easy to do once the hoses are removed, unlike most vehicles Ford made these easy to replace.

Hot water valve has been deleted. I have put two thermostat in it now and have done a flush still no heat going to pull heater core today how much of the dash needs to come out to get to heater core
Pop the tabs on the glove box so that it can fold out all the way and there is an access panel that comes out. Mind the upper right corner, there is a tab there that can break
