I have a 2004 F250 XL crew cab. When I bought the truck new, I deliberately kept the specs as basic as possible for two reasons. First, I intended to use it beach fishing, and I've seen that sand and salt do even worse things to complex options that to basic vehicle components. Second, I needed to keep my cost down. One of those basic items was interior trim level, and I have the base bench seat. 20 years ago, that was no problem, but I'm now in my mid-70s and occasionally need to use the truck for an 8-hour drive, which is very tiring, and kills my back. I have found a seller on FB Marketplace who has two front "bucket" seats from a 1999 F350 for $150, which seems pretty reasonable for what appear to be seats in very nice condition (he had seat covers on them from new, removed when he decided to sell). His seats and my are manual. He claims that I could replace my seat with his without installing two additional rails or making any other modification. Is that correct? Thanks for any guidance provided.
Im interested in this one but have tossed around going the other way from buckets to a bench on my 99 CC. I will add make sure you see pics because I've both looked into getting "better" buckets. I say better because mine are leather and in really bad shape like 95% of the used leather seats Ive seen for sale at recyclers/CL or otherwise.

Curious on how that is possible. I don't think the bench has all the mounting locations that the buckets need. Now, just some food for thought. My 2004 F-250 XLT (sold years ago), had air bags, does yours? Years ago, we had a 2007 Ford Five Hundred, cloth seats base model. When my buddy decided to junk his 2005 Five Hundred, I got his like new leather seats. After the swap, the airbag light came on due to the sensors being different.
I'd be surprised if all the mounting locations aren't there. It doesn't seem like it'd make sense to manufacture a cab differently just because it might get a different seat.

Just something to think about.
Hmmm. Yes, I have airbags, and sensor/controller compatibility is something I had never considered, Thanks. My concern was (and is) that it seems to me there needs to be two fore-and-aft rails for each bucket seat (four total) to slide and lock on, as compared to two total for my bench seat (I just looked at my truck, and that look seemed to confirm my suspicions. My guess is that I would need to get at least two seat mounting rails from the junkyard (four to be safe, since the bench seat rails might not be compatible) and then figure out what I need to do to install into my truck. Looks like I need to do more homework, unless there is someone here that has done this who cares to chime in. It's difficult to believe that I am the only one with a 1999-2011 SD that came with front bench seat who looked into changing to buckets.
My 2010 has older style cloth seats and no seatbelt light. I was told they were from an early 2000s truck. All manual though so idk about seat wiring. Generally speaking it's not hard to wire up power seats but getting the seat heaters to work is tough because the power runs through the body module. Or at least on chevies. I've swapped tahoe/yukon seats a few times on older cars. They are excellent seats. Built in armrest. Etc.
I'm looking for the little middle seat for my 2010. I have a stick shift and nowhere to put my right arm. I have the stupid 2 inch console. Lol.
My right arm and the passengers left arm is just kind of hanging out. I either need the little middle seat or I'll buy a console for an old jeep. They are about the right size. I have a yukon denali i took the LS out of that i could use the seats but it's a work truck and I really don't want to.
