I'm the original owner of a 1998 F-150. The display for the clock / radio (original) is so weak it can't be read. Everything works on the radio. Any ideas on how to make the display brighter?
The little bulb inside the radio is replaceable
When then bulb goes out, you can still read the LCD in the right light
Pull the radio
Pull the face off and replace the bulb behind the screen
Ford used to sell the correct frosted bulb (but they were 8 bucks each)
Then for a while I used to go to a lighting place and get the right one
Now, when I need one, I just go to Autozone and get a mini bulb #74 IIRR
