Just needs finishing

Here's a typical "needs finishing" project started by someone who didn't realize the time, skill and money to complete, not to mention proper planning.

This is being offered on FB Marketplace for $1000. I don't see nothing but scrap metal.

Looks like one of those "halloween" or "xmas" yard art projects honestly. I think some misguided person bought yard art from someone who is moving out of state, and the buyer didn't realize it is meant to be fixed up.

It does have 3 shiny lug nuts on the left front.

I'd love to see the frame stretch. I bet it's well engineered.

Hey, it's a rare crew cab with suicide doors on the rear. It's worth more than the asking price!

edit: and upon closer inspection it has the much vaunted optional sun roof

Bob, you're right about time involved. My wife and I have an agreement... When she asks me "How long is that gonna take??" or "How long you gonna work on that thing??"
I calculate the time and triple it and tell her...she then doubles it and makes plans accordingly... worked for 60 years

As for the nearly finished project... well, I just never

They all "just need finishing", even when you think you're done.

The hood, grill, and front fenders might be worth something.

Finishing?
What is this word, I don't recognize it. Is it a type of cookie? a small country in eastern Europe? maybe a dance or something?
I don't think I've ever heard of it

This is what happens when a laser cutter and a welder are in the wrong hands.

Huh, and here it looked to me like the work of a Sawzall and canned beer.

I thought it was a school that rich people sent their daughters to so they could become a debutante.

Mom to 30 year old son, “Time to move out of basement and find your path.”

Son, “ what about the old Ford project?”

Mom, “ Just needs a bit of finishing, right?”
