2000 Excursion Limited 5.4 engine troubles with NO codes
Oil changed regularly
New plugs, and Coil packs recently
New Intake manifold last year (OEM cracked and leaking coolant)
Ok, here goes, started yesterday afternoon leaving work. I cranked the engine and took off, and as soon as I started driving down the road, I noticed lack of power, and stalled at the stop sign. Cranked back up with no issues, started heading down the road again and about a mile or so started noticing RPM fluctuating, after that didn't happen anymore. This morning, cranked up this morning to warm up while I was getting ready to head to work, took off with no issues until I had driven approximately 6 miles, while cruising the RPM dropped to idle speed, and went back up after coming off the pedal and back on. By that time I was pulling into work, idled fine, and I shut it off. This afternoon, cranked up fine, and started showing these symptoms again around 1 mile down the road, so I headed to the local auto parts store for them to do a code scan, engine stalled as I turned into the parking lot, cranked back up no issues, did a scan and nothing came up. Left from there, and noticed the lack of power was gradually getting worse, to the point I had to feather the accelerator to keep it running, at one point it would not go over 16 mph, if I tried accelerating it would cut out, if I came off the pedal it smooth out, and coast. At one point, it started picking up, and I was able to get it going 50 mph at WOT. I was able to get it home, and it idled, but can hear it miss every now and then. Being I'm never getting a check engine light, I'm wondering if my fuel pump is failing. Anyone have any ideas or similar experience? Thank you.

climbing up/over one of the high passes in Colorado, the truck just suddenly lost power, and codes showed up on the CTS-3
scared me bad, but I kept on going, and the minute I got into Price, I dropped it off at Landon Diesel Repair....
they told me the air filter was full of water???
and had collapsed, and the Air Monitor which I was not familiar with was sucked all the way to the bottom...
I have learned a lot of 7.3 stuff since then...
they also replaced the Vacuum pump and installed the ByPass oil filter...
wallet felt that ding really bad
