foaming oil???

talked to my ford dealer today and he said to use only the motorcraft diesel oil in my 02 powerstroke. he said if i were to use rotella or dello i might have a problem with foaming and wouldnt run properly. is this true? he said the powerstoke is very finicky when it comes to this.

Definately not true. You can run Rotella T, Delo, Delvac 1300, what ever you like. So long as it's a diesel rated oil it will be fine.

I have a 01 and use Rotella. I've changed the oil 16 times in 51,000 miles and had no ill effects that I know of. Before you ask, Yea thats a lot of changes but I pull a heavy 5er and oils a lot cheaper than trucks.
