hey -
they're pretty beat up, covering is dry and cracking, cardboard panel it wraps around is deteriorating with some rot going on -
(the truck is currently being repainted and seat is getting new upholstery)
thanks for getting back to me
i've seen recently new panels somewhere but you can easily make them. From there you can re-use your fabric or do something different. I haven't looked to much into it but the plastic chrome wrapped inserts are hard to deal with. Painted they look crummy IMO.
Your panels are for the 1970-72 Sports Custom trim level. I have the same panels in my 1972 Sports Custom but they are green. I haven't looked much lately for these, but I have never seen this pattern offered as a reproduction. You could always replace them with the metal panels, I see these on E-bay on occasion. You could place a parts wanted ad in the Marketplace listed at the top of the forum. I think the company that has the best selection for reproduction panels is NPD, but they do not have your specific panel. Here is the link: 1967-1972 - National Parts Depot
I basically did the same. Some 1/8 inch board from the trim section of Home Depot, vinyl from Hobby Lobby, and some chrome trim and screws from Oreilly Auto. Not professional, but I am pleased with them.
