Front Upper Fender Molding
I looked thru DC and here below is a clip I would consider to modify to fit the front.
I would definitely try modifying one of the clips shown below.
Rocker Molding "End" Clip - On Bed - 1973-79 Ford Truck
I just went thru these Isometrics a few months back.
The front 1-inch of my black rubber insert was missing since purchasing my '77 crew in 1996.
Therefore, the round hole in the trim was exposed where the screw from the backside anchors the rubber strip.
One day while in pick-n-pull, there was I think a '73 with the pass. fender trim WITH the rare black rubber insert.
I worked my butt off trying in Vain to remove the trim piece, and gave-up.

God, I get depressed when having to leave a part in the yard that I've have spent hours attempting to remove, to get down to one or two remaining fasteners that won't budge, or I don't have the proper tooling to remove.
I go home from the P-n-Pull yard, realizing I'm going to have to worry my trim piece OFF First to learn exactly what I needed to then remove the trim from the P-n-Pull vehicle. _ _ this took HOURS.
The Front-most trim fastener Nut, is a real BOOGER to get a socket on and then find room to swing the wrench.
I have received the part that Rich sent me and it is for the correct side. However, that was his last one and I am afraid that the other side may be in the same shape. So because of that I am in the process of designing a mold that I can use to press a new piece. I am using the intact one as an example. It has been a process but will be worth it for me and I can always use it to make more for anyone else who may need one. Hopefully I can make it work. I already have bought the sheet metal from a local metal store that cost me very little.
If I am successful in making the mold I plan on using the same technique to make molds for other trim parts that are dented so that I can use the molds to reshape the trim.

I have a hard time spending $120.00 plus shipping for a small piece of metal....
If I found one at a JY somewhere I may buy one but the price would definitely have to be right!
The passenger side trim that i removed last fall of 2024, may still have the clip.
If I remember today, I will snap a photo.
So, after all of these decades, nobody is re-popping the black rubber trim strip.
