2018 Transmission Issue

2018 Transmission Issue
I'm looking for some help with a transmission issue.
I hit a deer early in the morning. Appeared to just be cosmetic. Bumper is toast, damage to plastic parts, slight damage to radiator. Truck acted fine. That night there was heavy rain, I exited the highway going tops 60 and ran through high water. I'm not sure how high it was but it brought the truck to a crawl. Shortly after the truck hung up in 5th and wouldn't down shift. Disconnected the batteries, it acted OK for a bit the next morning but then went back to up/down shifting if it wasn't hung up in 5th.
Idk if this is electrical due to the deer or somethign larger due to water. Truck is undriveable and I'd like to be able to point my insurance company towards the provlem.

Sorry for your dilemma, hope you get it back and fixed ASAP. Don't worry about pointing your insurance in any direction for this ! Let your repair shop/garage figure that out, that's what they're going to get paid for, right ? That's what your insurance co. is going to pay them to do. Let them diagnose it, fix it and be right when done.
