loose mirrors
my passenger mirror is loose and it is not just the glass but the whole part the can fold in. how do i tighen it?

There should be a bolt that holds the mirror assembly to the metal frame that the mirror sits on.

Well, this is by memory (recalling my sister's 97 f150) but the bolt should be on the bottom of the mirror........

like what i turn the mirror in, all i see is two little plug things and a hole with a large spring, it almost sounds like the ones you are talking about are the ones that aren't power mirrors.

Ahh.........you didnt tell me they were power mirrors.....sorry.....I am not familiar with power mirrors from the 97 model.
