Belt Tensioner
My 99 F150 has 40,000 miles on it. The belt is quite worn, so I was going to replace it. Is it common for the tensioner to be;
a. Difficult to move
b. When I did move it it didn't spring back?
Should I replace the tensioner or do you think it can be fixed? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks.

Randy,I changed my belt at 70k miles and noticed the same thing with my tensioner.I thought it was normal,so just installed my belt and now at 94k miles still no problems.BTW,I installed a Gatorback belt.
