hear you on getting to 57 and right into Htown,
star ledger today has this ,and i just love the interstate is expected to remain closed for the next two months part, at least 3 mines? yet how many shafts going what ways ?
(The area where the sinkholes appeared has at least three abandoned iron mines according to a Department of Environmental Protection map.
The interstate is expected to remain closed for the next two months as repairs are completed and officials test the area for more potential collapses.)

Surprise Surprise.... The delays will continue! They have added another 4 weeks to the estimated fully reopening of the road. Still say they need to just figure out getting a bridge span across this section.

I drove to Boonton yesterday to pick up an IDM. It took 1:45 to get there going eastbound (usually 30mins) and I noticed a 5 mile dead stop backup westbound. Didn't realize that side was shut down again....Had to take 287 S to 78w to get home. All in all, a 1hr trip took close to 4.

i try to keep far far away from that area of 80. if i do have to use 80, it is west of 206, or east of 202.
mount hope and lake hopatcong quarries are off limits to me until the traffic mess is cleared up.
i dont even go to the truck body shop on 45 just west of rt 10 since the mess started. we call and have them ship what we need instead of wasting a day going to pick up.

wife went to costco on 15 in rockaway yesterday, gone for 4 hours 3 of which was driving, no problem till Berkshire valley rd than 15 became a combo of the cross Bronx and the L.I.E,
