need help identifying this stripe if it factory or not.

yes, the stripe was also "mirrored" below the dent. obviously the gas removed the section under the filler. maybe they repainted the bottom half for some reason?

Dlburch has it right. Here is my 75 highboy with the factory stripe. I have a NOS stripe kit to put on after I've assembled it.

i hope so too. I thought about inspecting it well, but thought I should leave it in the packaging until it's time to use it
