tubbing a pickup
Chopped = removed metel from overall height
Channeled = removed a section to narrow
Bagged = adding air ride suspension
Lowered = lowering the vehicle height via suspension mods.
Dropped = lowering the vehicle height via suspension mods by swapping custom parts
Slammed = lowering the vehicle height via suspension mods as well as modifying the frame to accomodate the lowered components
Pie cut = removing a pie shaped piece of sheet metal to change the rake of a hood section or tilt back an a-pillar for example.
Shaved = removing all external trim, handles, badges, etc to achieve a smooth look.
If anyone has more, let us know.
I may be wrong, but channeling is removal of floor pan, raising it higher in body, causing body to sit lower on a frame. When vehicle's channeled, body bottom line is closer to ground & interior floor pan closer to roof. Ride, ride hieght & handling are virtually same, maybe even enhanced somewhat, by lower CofG channeling creates.
Frenching = Insetting something, trim piece, escutcheon/ bezel is molded/ smoothed into body panel. Taillights in a styleside bed could be Frenched by removing them, installing them from back side, then smoothing/ finishing bezel into body panel.
Nosed & Decked = when only hood, and/or deck/ tailgate are shaved.
Rolled Pan = Bumper is removed, sometimes replaced with Nerf Bar(s). Metal panel behind it formed/ reformed to follow contour of fender bottoms [front and/ or rear] between which pan fits. On a Slick, front rolled pan, is doing away w/ front bumper & gravel deflector. Fabricating a panel that rolls, down, under, front end.
Rear Rolled Pans are often sculpted/ relieved so tag & light inset into it some.
Relieved/ Sculpted = are when a panel is reconfigured with an altered body line, windsplit, wheel opening flare, or inset area such as license tag would be in a rolled pan as described above.
Filling = similar to shaving but metal is added. For example when a "Slick" is set on a later frame & interior fuel tank is abandoned, a large hole remains in the lower part of the "B" Pillar. This hole was for OEM filler neck & cap. It is on a convex, compound, curve.
Hole is closed using fabricated, fitted, piece of metal welded into the hole, filled & finished off (shaved), then painted.
Louvred= punching louvres or having them punched in a body panel. Most common is a hood. BUT watch out for a wet engine bay!
