Are the clutch release bearings for a '63 and '64 F-100 223 six cylinder (10-inch clutch) interchangeable? If not, what is the difference between them? Thank You.
I usually go to autozone.com and look up the different years to see what fits. Like, get the part number for a 63 throwout bearing and a 64 throwout bearing. Can often be the same one (although you occassionally find out about an inaccurate listing).
You might also call them up (or advance auto or napa or whatever) and ask the counter guy to punch in the stuff.
You could be more resourceful... perhaps that's why no one answered.
By the way. That's a nice '63 you have. I had one exactly like it right down to the color, 20 some years ago. A North Carolina tobacco farm truck it was. Wish I'd kept it. Maybe its the one you have. Mine had 64,000 miles when I sold it. The son of the old guy that I bought it from had hacked-up the dash and door panels for a K-mart stereo installation. Other than that, she was perfect.
Actually, it may be the throw-out bearing hub that is my problem.
So in the mean time, if it ain't too much trouble, does anyone know if the throw-out bearing hub is the same on the '63 and '64?.
