2000-2003 Supercrew?

I am looking to buy a 2000-2003 supercrew 4x4. I want honest opinions on these trucks so i am not disappointed after i get one. Have any of you had bad problems with them so far? For those of you that have lifted them, what kind of lift did you decide to get and what size tires did you put on your truck? Also do any of you have one for sale at a reasonable price? thanks for everything

Welcome to the Forum!

I think that you'll be pleased with the F-150 SuperCrew.

I just purchased my 02' at the begining of October (I bought it used), and I have be really sastified with it.

Before my S-crew I had a couple of Rangers (hence the "superrangerman" name), and they were great trucks for my use, but when it came to hunting with a group of 3-4 including guns and such, the ranger was quite cramped with just 2 people.

My wife and I decided that we wanted a fullsize, but it had to be able to accomodate 4 adults comfortably, and had to be able to tow at least 4k, as well as be auto and 4x4.

The first thing I changed on my S-crew were the tires...IMHO the GY RTS stink as a good all season tire....too much of a dedicated higway tire for me.

I think that you'll find that the 5.4L motor is better in a S-crew than the 4.6L.

Overall, from the reasearch I did before buying mine, The S-crew (as well as the plain 150's) are quite reliable and tough trucks. Of all the crew cab trucks on the market (including Dodges 3/4 ton crew cabs), I felt the S-crew had the most room in the back, and I sure like how the back seat folds down, but you can still have a adult sit in the back seat. My only wish is that Ford would put a 6.5" box on the truck, but in my case it's not a neccessity.

Just remeber when cruising this site, you'll find lots of posts on problems, and a few good posts, but we represent a very, very small fraction of the total population that have Ford trucks.
