Same bolts different lengths?
I noticed the bolts in the upper intake are the same thread as the lower but the upper bolts are just a little bit longer. I fought with this for awhile then I dawned on me, duh the next time I am up there I will check this out. I don't know why I didn't notice this before. It must be a senior moment and the fact I live 40 miles away and get hurried by the boss.

C6 transmission filter bolts have the same fun little quirk. There are only 11, but 2 diameters and 3 lengths. I laid under there with Mercon dripping on my face trying to figure out why one wasn't tightening. But hey, at least it's a metal filter, with bolts, and they're SAE and not metric. Take THAT, 4R70W.
