Ambient temperature sensor display

A while ago had my truck in to get som work done and they damaged the right hand mirror on my 2015 Lariat truck with all the electrical fold, extending, heating etc. but the temperature sensor has not worked since, I am trying to get this fixed but can’t remember where the display used to be on which screen, so if someone could help with supplying a picture of display it would be much appreciated.
Thanks Frank.

On my 2012 the outside temp is displayed on the HVAC display, there’s a button that says EXT to push to display it.

Here’s a picture of it from my 2012, note the EXT button, and the 32 degs F displayed which is the outside temp. If your’s still isn’t working, as with any little electrical glitches in these vehicles, sometimes disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then hooking it back up can bring things back.

Thanks madsonp for the explanation and the picture. Unfortunately my 2015 has a different setup, mark 2 no ext button and display is different. Taking truck to dealer on the 13 and will ask for pictures of the parts nr and wire setup of plug if they can’t get it to work, as I believe they may have got a wrong mirror.
thanks Frank.

Well I kinda thought your’s might be different, it’s possible they got the wrong mirror. In the mean time you might try the battery disconnect trick like I mentioned, and see if it comes back, it’s worked for me with other glitches I’ve had with my truck.

I live near Perth in Western Australia, after the last email I took it back to F truck who suplied the mirror they compared the old mirror wires to new and changed the position of som wires around this cleared the engine fault display but after leaving I still had no temperature displaying, so I did som research and went in to the HVAC display settings not sure exactly what I did but next day the temperature was displaying, this was about 1000km after they cleared the computer. Now they claim it may take 200km for the display to start displaying and wanted to charge me for fixing it. Has anyone ever heard about this. and what are your thoughts. Sorry for the long rant.
