Can I perform my own oil & filter changes or does it have to be done by a dealer to keep my warranty? I'm assuming I can pay to get it done at a "quick lube" place, if I don't want to overpay at a dealer
I did my own too up to a few yrs ago while I could still get down and back up from underneath a vehicle.
My last 3 F-150 trucks, I had a quick lube place do the oil changes, but I already know the dealership is going to "overcharge" and while I can still use a quick lube, I have thought about doing it myself.
I picked up a Moto Guzzi V85 motorcycle a few years back, & they want $650 for a service; oil & filter, air filter & valve adjust every 10,000 km (6000 mi) Bike has never been back to the dealer, oil, filter & valve adjustments have been performed by me. Even fixed a leaking fork seal & converted the tube rims to now run tubeless tires
