I wonder if anyone has experience with the Edelbrock Performer 390 knock offs? Summit's own intake for the FE looks exactly like the super cheap intakes from Amazon or Temu. You can get the Temu one for less than $200. Does anybody has experience with them? Do they leak? Or the port sizes comparable? I am not looking for the last bit of performance and wonder if this is a route to go.
One time at the PRI show we were talking to Vic Edelbrock and he told us that the FE intake is one of the most difficult products that they made. He said that the casting core alignment is pretty critical so that it all works out with the pushrod holes, bolt holes, ports etc. With that said a knock off could be just as good. You never know until you give one a try.
using a knock off sb from summit works pretty good, engine masters did a test of 4 some time back and showed they stood up almost number to number in hp
