so I have a 390 2 barrel and with a empty pocket want to upgrade to a 4 barrel intake. I have found a factory steel intake for $50 would this be a good way to go if so what carbuerator should I be looking for Thanks
$50.00 sounds fair for a steel intake ,do you know what number it is
a s or a t is a "better manifold " search craigslist always aluminum intakes on there , i scored a performer for $80 if motor is stock a 500-600 cfm will work just fine again check craigslist .
hahahaha definatly can throw your back out AND THEN drop it on your foot if youre not careful
yes that iron intake will be fine for a 4barrel swap on your engine as long as youre not concerned about weight
it will flow and perform just fine for a mild cam engine. if youre engine is stock or even mild and only rev to 6k then a 600 cfm carb is plenty and it will give you good throttle responce.
Cool. That seems like a good deal.
What do you have for a motor. What trans.
Like was asked earlier, what is the casting letter, if any, is on it. There may be an S or a T on it. Just curious. Any of them are better then a 2barrel.
Do you prefer edelbrock or Holley carb.
