aftermarket wheels / factory centers

I was putting my american eagle wheels back on my truck today, because with the additional 3" of lift the stockers looked like crap. Anyway I noticed that the wheels were machined out to use both types of lug nuts. I did put a factory lug on and it fit perfectly into the machined out area. When my cheapey $80 chrome lugs start to rust the factory lugs and centers are going back on. I know this was brought up along time ago, heck it was probably last year, but I hope it's still useful info for somebody.
