Thanks! Sorry I think I see my mistake, I was referring to the KOER cylinder balance test. That's my bad I wasn't very clear about that. I probably misinterpreted my code reader when I was doing the KOEO and KOER tests. Thanks for cleaning that up! What I looked at was on page 42 of that manual.

If the truck is Speed Density (Batch Fired injectors) you cannot do a Cylinder Balance test. Only Sequential EFI vehicles can do the Cylinder Balance test. Since the truck in question is a 1997 model year it can be either version of EFI. So your Code 10 during the Cylinder Balance test may be valid assuming the truck is Sequential EFI, also known as Mass Air-Flow (MAF).
