ok guys..i feel as this is new jack ****..i being that new jack...first time ive ever done this removing of top end **** to get to that cylinder sensor..so put it all back and it started..that was a semi proud moment..so now it seems as if the slight touch of the throttle butterfly threw my throttle off..got a position sensor code..neighbor said i would have to go put it on a dyno to have them recal the throttle i guess..dunno if theres a way to reset throttle or willl i have to go put on a dyno? reaching out to yall for help..im most def a novice so any help would be a blessing..thanx guys
I question if you did the reassembly correctly. Did you get all the vacuum lines and electronic plugs reconnected, specifically the throttle position sensor? When I replaced my intake, I gave the throttle body a good cleaning including rotating the throttle. I reassembled everything correctly and had no issues.
I've also never heard of recalibrating the throttle on these either.
Ditto on double-checking the assembly. If you're getting a throttle position sensor code, then it's likely that didn't get plugged back in.
Do you have a scan tool to read the trouble codes? If so, post the code numbers here which will help us, help you.
