I’m new in here and had some questions. My cab on my 2001 f250 is shot. I was interested in putting a 2008 body style cab on as a replacement. Has anyone done this and how hard is it
My understanding is that the cabs did not change drastically from 99 to 2016. The aluminum cabs are totally different.
I have a 2016 partial cab (no firewall) for parts for my 2003 and 2014. the nose is the same as my 2014 (except fenders F550 vs F250) but the doors, rockers seat, glass and nearly everything else is identical to the 2003. I do notice a slight difference in the floor pan though. The split seat from the 2016 fit fine in the 2003, but seat height seems slightly different.
Keep in mind that the frame change when they went from leaf spring to coils in front may be different too. I know that the noses fit differently. so if you are planning on changing the rad support, hood, grill, and fenders you'll need a kit to do that.
