hey my name is andy i am a mechnic at a ford garrage and i have seen many 351 cubic inch moters around first of all there ia a 352 windsor it is a small block from the 90 degree family. Then there is a 351 clevland it is a small block but is offered in both bigblock and small block bellhousing mounts it is from the 355 family. then there is the 351M "m" does stand for modfied because they modified a 400 to have 351 cubes in other word destroking it. it is a big block and does use a 352 crank but has 400 pistons. Then there is a 351 clevland cobra jet it is just the same as a clevland but came with 4v heads and was a rare motor made for only 3 years. it is easy to push 500+ horse out of them with little to no changes depending on the year. in my oppinion a 351 windsor is nice to have in a everyday driveing pickup with light loads a clevland is for heavy loads and yet dependable, 351M has more tourque then a 300-6 but 1200 more revs nice for careing those heavy loads but had on gas man!lol. the 351 clevland cobra jet was only offered in the rancherios and it was designed for round track raceing and holds good power but not much tourque.had a rear berring oiling problem at low revs. hope this helps you adilts2002@yahoo.com
Clearly someone needs to read the guidelines for this forum before doing anymore posting here. Normally I avoid "public moderation" of a specific user but since andy has declined to accept email from the FTE site I don't have much other choice.
Unfortunately despite your employment at a "ford garage" you don't seem to know too much about the history of the 335 series engines. I'd suggest you spend a little more time reading the posts here so you can learn from folks who have more experience with these particular engines.
