when I was buying it Interior when I was buying it, I plan on putting new vinyl floor in, new dash pad (the old one's cracked), new seat cover on, and good radio in (there is some redneck wiring from previous owner so that'll be a fun little project) this bedside is a different color than the rest of the truck another pic
In addition to all that I'm going to get it painted, spray in bedliner, new exhaust, larger tires and leveling kit or 2'' lift, I also need to replace all the fluids, however everything on the truck except AC (typical) and the radio work and it runs and drives great.
Congratulations. It's good to keep these trucks going. I got my 91 custom a few years ago to use as a truck. The first owner babied it, the second owner abused it. I'm fixing what I can to have a useful, dependable truck.
I have a question... So on my truck It has the AC option in the control panel but it does not blow cold air. In the engine bay where the fan belt goes around all the things there is not the thing for the AC, however on the engine block there are two threaded bolt holes where thing should be (I think?). I was wondering if Ford just put the same heating/cooling controls in AC and non AC truck or did the previous owner take the AC system out?
Also another thing.. where the radio should be there are a bunch of random single wires and no connectors or anything, just looking for ideas on what to do

Are you saying that the AC compressor was removed? The dash is different for AC and non AC trucks.
Very cool YouTube Channel Sir! your videos are very informative and interesting!
there is definitely no AC compressor, and I can't find any other components that would have been in an AC system. The thing that confuses me is that there is an AC switch/lever in the dash. Are you sure that Ford wasn't just lazy and put the same dash in AC and non AC trucks? It seems like the kind of thing they would have done, due to the fact that it is Custom trim level so they probably had the stock AC xx price and it was xx more to get a system when it was new.

Glad you like the channel.
Ford would not have put an A/C switch in the dash of a non-A/C equipped truck. At least not on purpose.
Early 88MY AC panel. Post radio pics, you will probably have to install some OE pigtails then go with aftermarket ones for the radio. Metra sells them for pretty inexpensive. You should have a few wires only. Left. Right. Power. Ground. Dimmer.
If you have junkyards close, hit them up as Ford used the same connector for years. Panther chassis did for sure. Probably can find some 6.5" speakers while out there as GM used similar size for a while in the GMT800 trucks/Burb/Tahoe. Grab a 3G alt while in the parts yard too. Snoop for an E-series van for the steering bracket too.
When door panels off, rebuild those window motors with delrin bushings.
