Hey everyone! Been a long time since I've been on the forums here! Some of you who have been here a while might remember me from some of my super duty tech articles. I still get an email now and then with questions or just kind words thanking me.
Anyway, I'm back and I just purchased a 2021 F150 race red with the V8. I still have my F250 with almost 175k miles on it now. I hope to be more active on these forums again, but unfortunately I don't have time these days to write tech articles. Its a shame because I really enjoyed that. Last summer I replaced the rear leaf springs in my F250 and I wish I could've wrote an article about that.
I just wanted to drop into the SD forum and say hey. Below is a pic of my new-to-me truck and my trusty ol F250.
What leaf pack did you use for the rear? How many springs? Where did you source them from and what company? How long did it take you?
I have a 2002 F-250 4WD CCLB 5.4L. I need springs too and was looking at pricing, and tips to do it...

Good question lol.... bought a house, had a second kid, dealt with health problems with both of my in laws for about 8 years, took on more responsibilities at work, and this past year got divorced ugh. ,

I used these parts:
- Springs were Dorman P/N 929-226 and I bought them from Amazon. They are just stock replacements.
- Shackle kits were Dorman P/N 722-018, also from Amazon
- U-bolt plates were also from Amazon but I don't have record of the P/N I used. Mine were extremely rusted.
- U-bolts were Husky spring P/N UA203RCSP
Main piece of advice I would have is to not waste too much time fighting the shackle bolts if they are seized in there. I fought them for about half a day before finally cutting them. The first side took me about two days to finish. The second side took about half a day.
