I have a '03 Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition. 280,000 miles. Excellent overall condition. Every time I start the vehicle, both outside mirrors cycle and end up in some unwanted orientation. I then have to adjust each mirror using the mirror adjustment switch on the driver's door. I have followed the mirror adjustment setting procedure in the owners manual but it does not solve the problem. Ideas? TIA.
If you have a memory position saved in the key FOB it will reset to that position everytime it's started if you unlocked it with that FOB.
Are you saying you went through the FOB memory set procedure and it's still got a mind of it's own ?

The '03 Expedition does not use the FOB to program mirrors and seats. It is all done using controls located on the driver's arm rest.

That is incorrect about the FOBs. The first FOB to be programmed to the vehicle will use the Memory 1 settings. The second FOB will use the Memory 2 settings. It is in your owner's manual in the Locks and Security chapter.
