Front end suspension

I have 2000 xlt. The tires have nearly rotted away and has satin dirt the last 4 years, that I know of. Could be longer. The suspension is shot and one tie rod has broken off from something else. Doing both sides of the suspension (inner, outer, control arm sway bars and lower ball joints) my question is: I have a 2 peace control arm on the passenger side. Do I need the two peace I’ve seen some people go to one arm, but they need a different camber bolt. Is that true? I am looking to order from rock auto do I need to order the different bolt with it or can I go with the one piece?

When I rebuilt the front end of my 1998 Ranger I went with the 1 piece passenger arm. To get these trucks properly aligned you need to put in a set of Camber/Caster bolts. I used Specialty Products 87500 for mine. When I went to get my alignment, the first thing they asked me is if I put these bolts in. They said a lot of people will rebuild the front end and not install these and end up having to pay them to install them anyway.

Thanks. That’s exactly what we did. I am having a hell if a time getting it back in the spindle. Going to try a press tonight after work.

yes you need the adjustable camber /caster kit, the single arm on even the newer rangers are aligned with factory shims and not adjustable, so the adjustable bolts are
the way to go for all future alignments
