2024 XLT bought just before Christmas. The window sticker that listed all the options for the truck list that it has automatic high beam control. When I go to vehicle settings (on the on dash menu) I have no "lighting" heading to go into to turn it on like the owner's manual states. I think I have went through every possible known combination of the dash display headings / options and there isn't anything I can find. Am I missing something?
On my Lariat the headlights need to be in auto mode, won't work if they are manually turned on. Also you need to push or pull (I forget which direction) on the turn signal arm to cycle through the high beam modes, off, on and auto

I think you push it forward to cycle the auto high-beams on/off. But you're correct, the overall lighting has to be set to auto too.
My Lariat stays on automatic all the time. If thyou have the LED Headlights it will fade into High Beams when there are no headlights coming towards you and when there are it will fad back to low beam. My wife noticed it when we were driving on a rural road in central Florida. It gets brighter slowly so you may not notice it. I did'nt until she pointed it out.

That is correct, but you can turn that feature on and off by bumping the stalk forward towards the cluster. I turn mine off sometimes if I'm in the hilly backroads because I lose and find headlights and taillights over every hill and turn - sometimes I get tired of the constant high/low transitioning. It's a cool feature and I like how the highs fade into the lows, but sometimes it's too much.
Finally got it. Owner's manual specified using the in-dash display. I thought it meant the speedo part of the dash. Didn't see it initially on the bigger center screen of the dash because the apple car play kept coming on and defaulting to my phone display.

Damn that apple car play. my wife had hers hooked up for map and directions and every time her phone rang the radio just displayed the phone call and I had to fight with the display to get the map back up. Now her phone is deleted and mine is linked and never have a problem, no-one ever calls me
