I recently put a 360 in my 67 f100, the oil dipstick I have enters through the block and the new motor has a oilpan entry for the dipstick. I am having a hard time finding a dipstick that fits my needs. Anything helps, thank you!
The rear sumps are normally on a 4wd truck. Did you swap the 360 in and what was the original engine? If it was a 352, the oil pan and dipstick should swap.
What did the newer engine come out of? 2X 1browski, sounds like it was a 4X4. have you mounted the engine? The rear sump may hit the crossmember.
1966 F100 4X4 352, 1967 F100/250 4X4 352, and 68/72 F100250 4X4 360 oil pan was part number C7TZ6675E. Ford noted this pan came with tube part number C7TZ6754A and dipstick part number C7TZ6750B.
***** THIS IS IF IT CAME OUT OF A 4x4*******
I only find one NOS dipstick out there. It's at:
On my 72 f250 4x4, the PO had put an engine from a 2wd in it. That being said, I have never seen the 4x4 pan and dipstick in person, only pics. The hole in the block should still be there, I imagine. I doubt Ford cast 4wd blocks and 2wd blocks. Is there a plug in the block and if so, you could use the 2wd setup. They are definitely easier to find. Also, mentioned by JEFFFAFA, the rear sump oil pan will hit the cross member on a 2wd.
