I've got a 94 Flareside. I've already converted to FLY1 computer and MAF system (same as 95 California Bronco and 95 Federal Emissions E250) and runs very well. It's been put on the back burner for a few years dealing with wife's cancer and passing (along with some depression).
Running GT40 heads, getting ready to upgrade intake to Edelbrock Performer truck intake, and I remember Conaski, (if he's still here) recommending the stock cam with some svo 1:7 rockers.
Actual question is, i want some good valve covers to fit the taller rockers that actually have the baffles built in and the correct ports etc for the pvc etc.
Does anyone have any that worked well for them?
If you're talking the stock SVO/Mustang Cobra Crane/Ford aluminum 1.7 roller rockers, those DO fit under the stock valve covers - I had those rockers on my E7TEs with stock covers. Most aftermarket roller rockers have a bit bigger 'square' body and will sometimes hit aftermarket covers. - I had to grind the corners off a couple of the offending rockers for clearance to even fit my former Edelbrock Signature cast aluminum covers - but they fit just fine under the Ford Motorsport cast aluminum covers.
I had GT40 heads with Scorpion 1.72 roller rocker arms on the 302
& then the 351W with the stock steel valve covers. I didn’t have to clearance anything.
