ok so i have a 94 f150 with a 96 351w swap... i put a trickflow stage 1 cam in along with ported gt40 heads the heads have stud mounted rockers arms and i had to cut the baffles out of the valve covers for clearance.. im pretty sure it pushing oil out now...so im wondering if anybody knows of aftermarket valve covers that i could get that would have the clearance for the rocker arms but also not be to tall to where it hits the upper intake?
i dont know of any off hand but i did measure mine the other day to see if the extra set i bought off craigslist would work and from the top of the mounting plate to the middle of the curve and i 3 1/2" and there is about an inch or so of space between the intake and the top of the cover..if this dosn't help sorry but its a bump for you..
well i would think the 5.0 an the 5.8 would have the same clearance... im gona try an get a measurement on the tall valve covers an see if there is room
