tire pressure ?

If you inflate your tires to the manufacturer's recommended pressure, then the only thing you have to worry about is center tread wear due to over inflation for the actual load you are running, whether in the front or rear.

What a lot of people do is scribe a white chalk line across the tires, drive a short distance (a block?), then read your tires. Repeat this with reduced air pressure until you get even wear on the tire.

If you want to be **** about it, you can even use white paint and go out on the interstate for a bit more realistic high speed reading.

Of course with a dually the tires will rub against each other if you go too low....

That at least sounds like something to try, I'll give it a shot since I just took out a mortgage on Michelins.

The chalk test is how I've ended up at the psi's that I mentioned above. The truck seems to ride well and the tread seems to wearing very even.
