Have a 2012 f350 that I don’t put alot of mils on. 42k currently and just went into limp mode 50mph. He's just asking which way to proceed, not for the name of a shop to have it done at if he goes the delete route.

Have you read the codes? How do you use the truck? A lot of stop and go short trips?
Sounds like you need a OCR or manual regen possibly... FORscan can be used, an aftermarket software which can do what the Ford IDS does, to trigger one.
My primary Banks iDash can trigger one as well. But certain conditions have to met, like truck at a minimum temp, I forget...
